MERION STATION, Pa. – The 15th-ranked Saint Joseph's field hockey team came from behind to beat Delaware, 2-1, on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Ellen Ryan Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Erika Culp drew Saint Joseph's (5-3) level with 1:14 to go in the first half, shoveling the rebound of an Adèle Jardemar shot past the Blue Hens' Kristi Merashoff and into the net for her first of the season.
• The Hawks went in front six minutes into the third quarter as Jardemar sent a ball in on a corner that Ava Smith tipped into the cage for a 2-1 lead.
• The Hawks would then hold the Blue Hens to just one shot in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
