Rasheer Fleming Selected 31st In The 2025 NBA Draft
Rasheer Fleming was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 31st overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, becoming the 34th Saint Joseph's player to be chosen in the NBA Draft. As part of a deal to be finalized later, the Minnesota Timberwolves are trading to the Phoenix Suns the draft rights to Fleming.
"We are delighted for Rasheer and his family. He has been a committed member to St Joe's Basketball from day one, an iron sharpener to his teammates, and a loyal ambassador of our great University. This moment is a testament to his steadfast faith in God and to dreams coming true on Hawk Hill," said Saint Joseph's head coach Billy Lange. "Congratulations, Rasheer!"
This past season, Fleming averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game on his way to both Atlantic 10 and Big 5 First Team accolades. Leading the Hawks, and ranking 60th nationally in field goal percentage (.531), Fleming posted a career-high 26 points twice in 2024-25, hitting the number in back-to-back games against Charleston (Dec. 10) and American (Dec. 18). A force on the glass, he ranked in the top-25 of NCAA Division I with 6.5 defensive rebounds per game, and his nine double-doubles were second in the A-10 and were 56th nationally. Named to the Legends Classic All-Tournament Team in November after averaging 15.0 points and 13.5 rebounds against No. 24 Texas Tech and Texas, Fleming also proved to be a threat from the perimeter as he ranked ninth in the conference in three-point percentage (.390) and 22nd in three-pointers made (62).
A three-year letterwinner, Fleming appeared in 101 games in a Saint Joseph's uniform and totaled 1,068 points (10.6 ppg), 715 rebounds (7.1 rpg) and 135 blocks (1.3 bpg), while shooting .510 percent from the field and .349 percent from three-point range.
Fleming is the first Hawks since DeAndre' Bembry in 2016 to be selected in the NBA Draft.
