Baseball Tabbed for ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team was honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association's Team Academic Excellence Award, the organization announced on Wednesday.
The Hawks are one of 108 Division I programs to receive recognition, which requires a program to post a grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the 2024-25 academic year. Programs from every level of collegiate and high school baseball are eligible for the award, which is presented by Sports Attack.
The ABCA has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA Awards Program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional and National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
