PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse head coach Scott Meehan announced the addition of Jared McMahon to the staff on Monday.

"I was fortunate to recruit Jared out of high school and have continued to watch him grow and develop throughout his playing and coaching career," said Meehan. "He is a rising star in the coaching world, and I am thrilled to have his expertise on staff. I look forward to seeing the impact he will make on our program in the years ahead."

In his lone season at Michigan, McMahon worked primarily with the faceoff unit and goalies. He helped junior Jack Rideout set a personal-best .453 faceoff percentage, while senior Nick Lauderback recorded a career-high 42 faceoff wins under his guidance. In goal, junior Hunter Taylor earned two Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors, posting the lowest goals-against average in program history (9.34) and a career-best .528 save percentage.

McMahon spent the 2024 campaign as an assistant coach at Bucknell, where he oversaw the faceoff unit, goalies, and defense. His work emphasized technical development, communication, and scout team preparation.

Before his time at Bucknell, McMahon served for five years as head coach with 2 Knights Lacrosse, working with players from grades 7 through 12 to develop their skills and elevate their game.

A standout player at Mount St. Mary's University, McMahon was a two-time captain and First Team All-MAAC selection. He finished his career ranked in the top 20 in program history in points, goals, and assists. His honors also include being named to the NEC All-Rookie Team, selection to the North-South All-Star Game, and recognition as a Presidential Scholarship recipient.
