Brugler to Represent Team USA at 2025 FISU World University Games
Saint Joseph's standout Talya Brugler was one of four players to be named to the Team USA roster for the upcoming 3x3 tournament at the 2025 World University Games held in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Brugler and Team USA reported to Cincinnati on Saturday, beginning a three-day training camp before making the voyage to Germany. Opening ceremonies begin on July 16 before the squad opens pool play on July 18. The top teams from each pool will advance to the tournament round. All games will be played under FIBA rules.
One of the top scorers in Saint Joseph's women's basketball history, Brugler finished her collegiate career as the program's third all-time leading scorer with 1,736 points. She appeared in 123 games, starting 114, and ranks in the top 10 in both categories. Brugler is one of only five Hawks to record multiple 500-point seasons and one of just three to average more than 10 points per game in all four seasons.
Joining Brugler on the team are Jaclyn Grisdale (Quinnipiac), Cece Collins (Columbia) and Lee Volker (Marquette). Maria Napolitano has been named head coach, with Kali Kells serving as the assistant coach.
