Women’s Cross Country Posts Strong Showing at Spiked Shoe Invitational

Eight personal records and strong individual performances highlighted a successful day for the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team at this year's Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational, hosted by Penn State, where the Hawks finished seventh overall.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Eight personal records and strong individual performances highlighted a successful day for the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team at this year's Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational, hosted by Penn State, where the Hawks finished seventh overall.

How it Happened
• For the second meet in a row, Sabrina Paz led the Hawks, clocking a personal-best time of 22:27.3 to place 46th overall. Chloe Care finished one spot behind in 22:28.1, improving on her debut performance at the Lehigh Invitational.

Grace Rudder notched her best showing of the season, crossing in 22:29.8 for 49th. Katrina Endres followed at 22:41.8 in 54th, while Khya D'Angelo closed out the Hawks' scoring performance with a season-best 23:04.5 for 66th overall.

Ali Fink (23:13.4) and Jonalee Adames (23:15.8) were next across for St. Joe's, each turning in their best times of the season just two seconds apart.

Grace Fennell clocked a 23:26.7, while Carlyn Segrave-Daly followed in 23:30.6 to keep the pack tight, setting a personal best in the process.

Abby Tuturice contributed a season-best 23:35.0, while Lexi Boyd rounded out the Hawks with a 23:52.3 finish.

News and Notes
Penn State placed all five scorers in the top six and won comfortably with 19 points. Syracuse followed in second with 50 points, well ahead of third-place Pittsburgh, which tallied 108. Maryland was close behind in fourth with 109 points. Buffalo finished in fifth place with 160. Monmouth was sixth with 188. American (208) and Colgate (208) tied for eighth, while Temple rounded out the field with 307 points.
