Men’s Tennis Falls in Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals to VCU

The seventh-seeded Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Thursday night, losing to second-seeded VCU by a 4-0 score at the USTA National Campus.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The seventh-seeded Saint Joseph's men's tennis team fell in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Thursday night, losing to second-seeded VCU by a 4-0 score at the USTA National Campus.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• VCU grabbed the first point of the night with wins in the second and third doubles flights.
 
• The Rams claimed victories in the first, fourth, and sixth flights to secure the victory.  Ernesto Ruy took the first set of his second-flight match and was ahead in the third when play was halted; Othman Bezzaz had won the first set in his fifth-flight match as well, while Santiago Valle was level at a set apiece in the third flight.
