WASHINGTON, D.C. – For the fifth time this season, Saint Joseph's junior Tommy Gross earned Atlantic 10 Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

The Silver Spring, Md. native delivered a career-high 23 saves over the weekend against #10 Richmond, besting his previous high set twice earlier this season including an 18-save performance against Villanova. The 23 saves mark the second-most saves in a single-game since the turn of the century, only Dan Morrissey (28) recording more against Delaware in 2004. The junior also recorded five ground balls against the Spiders, matching a career-high.

Gross has registered eight games with at least 10 saves in 2025, wrapping up the regular season with 146 saves with a .570 save percentage. The Hawks have conceded an average of just 8.77 goals per game with Gross in the cage.
