Women’s Tennis Blanked by VCU

The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to VCU, 4-0, at the Thalhimer Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

RICHMOND, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to VCU, 4-0, at the Thalhimer Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Rams got wins in the second and third doubles flights to take the early lead.
 
• The hosts collected three wins in singles play to finish off the match.  Charlotte Kordonowy lost a first-set tiebreaker in the second flight but was leading the second set when play was halted.
 
HAWK TALK
"Today we played a very good VCU squad," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "We had some solid individual results in singles.  Another test awaits tomorrow at Richmond."

The Hawks remain in town to take on Richmond on Friday.
