PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team announced the addition of Jaden Smith to the 2025-26 roster.

"Jaden Smith is a dynamic, versatile basketball player who we are excited to add to our team," said head coach Billy Lange. "He adds skill, intelligence, size and a passion for the game. His impact will be felt immediately and he has the ability to develop under our staff and continue to improve. He joins us with a strong foundation as he has been well coached in both High School and on the EYBL circuit. Competing for a year in our conference gives him great understanding of the energy it takes to play at our level. Jaden has the type of inherent joy that we love in our program's daily culture; it will sharpen others."

Last season, Smith played 11 games for Fordham, averaging 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds. He posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds against Georgian Court and also netted seven against the University of Sam Francisco in the Sunshine Slam.

A four-star recruit according to ESPN, Smith averaged 8.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.0 blocks as a senior at Kenwood Academy. He was the No. 8 recruit in the state of Illinois according to 247Sports and On3 and was the No. 23 center nationally per ESPN.
