Men's Basketball Announces A-10 Schedule
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its men's basketball schedule and nationally-televised conference games on Thursday afternoon. Saint Joseph's will play seven games among A-10 linear television partners this season.
St. Joe's also announced the addition of games at UNLV on Nov. 20 and at Syracuse on Dec. 11. These games are possible due to a waiver granted by the NCAA, allowing Saint Joseph's to play 31 regular season games.
The Hawks open the schedule on the road with a New Year's Eve game at Saint Louis. Back-to-back home games follow. as Davidson comes to Hagan Arena on Jan. 3 for a game on CBS Sports Network with Duquesne up next on Jan. 7. St. Joe's makes two trips to Central Virginia in eight days for a pair of nationally televised contests. Jan. 11 sees SJU at Richmond for a game on USA. On January 19, the Hawks battle VCU on CBS Sports Network. Sandwiched between those games is a home tilt against St. Bonaventure on Jan. 14.
Three consecutive TV games round out the January schedule, beginning with Dayton at home on Jan. 24 on CBS Sports Network. Jan. 27 has Saint Joseph's at Loyola Chicago on CBS Sports Network, followed by a game in Olney against La Salle on Jan. 31, airing on USA.
February opens with alternating home and road for the first four games. George Washington (Feb. 4) and Fordham (Feb. 10) are at Hagan Arena with St. Joe's traveling to George Mason (Feb. 7) and St. Bonaventure (Feb. 18). Loyola Chicago comes to Philadelphia on Feb. 21 for a game on the ESPN Family of Networks. George Mason follows that in Hagan Arena on Feb. 25.
The next two games are on the road with trips to Rhode Island (Feb. 28) and Davidson (Mar. 4) before the home regular season finale against La Salle on Mar. 7.
The Atlantic 10 Championship is at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, March 11-15.
