Women’s Tennis Wraps Up SJU Invitational
MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team closed out its weekend with final day action in the SJU Invitational at the SJU Tennis Complex on Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshmen Elena Fleming and June Tronhus earned a pair of wins apiece, teaming up for a doubles victory over a duo from Rider before each dispatching separate opponents from Rider in singles play.
• Gisele Tang also collected a singles win over Olivia Chowgule of Drexel in straight sets while Amari O'Brien had a 4-2 lead over Rider's Kashish Kant when Kant retired.
UP NEXT
The Hawks are idle until October 3 when play commences at Penn's Cissie Leary Invitational and the Atlantic 10 Conference Masters.
