Field Hockey Holds Steady at #15 in NFHCA Coaches Poll
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Saint Joseph's field hockey team held on to its #15 ranking in this week's Penn Monto / National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Hawks opened Atlantic 10 play with a dominant 3-0 win over Saint Louis on Friday before falling to Louisville, 2-0, on Sunday.
On the back of a pair of wins over ranked teams, Louisville entered the poll this week at #16, one slot behind the Hawks. Two other previous Hawk opponents are ranked this week, as Maryland remains #10 and Penn State is at #20.
Saint Joseph's has one more matchup on the schedule against a currently-ranked team as the Hawks are set to visit Liberty, which moved up one spot to #5, on October 19.
The Hawks will host Delaware on Wednesday and Lehigh on Friday to close out a four-game homestand before visiting Villanova on Sunday.
