Saint Joseph's University To Host Spring Athletics Symposium

"We created a forum for institutions and conference representatives to come together to hear from industry experts, and perhaps most impactfully, to share and develop best practices to implement in a post-House vs. NCAA settlement environment," said Bodensteiner.
The innovative symposium is curated for key NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and non-football sponsoring (AAA) institutions and conference stakeholders including athletic directors, development personnel, general managers, compliance officials, university legal counsel and others impacted by the settlement decision. Registration for the symposium is now open to officials, regardless of opt-in status, that are navigating settlement-driven complexities and a rapidly-changing competitive landscape.
"Timing is critical for this symposium. We wanted to be strategic in connecting stakeholders shortly after the April 7 settlement approval hearing to level set regardless of the decision and to begin mapping for the future," added Bodensteiner. "This will also likely serve as a precursor to inform our broader industry conversations during events like NACDA's annual convention."
Sessions for the symposium include a focus on name, image and likeness, talent management and the role of general managers, Title IX, and the future of the NCAA basketball tournament among other topics of interest. Additionally, Gabe Feldman, Joe Lundardi and Billy King will join Bodensteiner as featured speakers throughout the event.
