Women’s Lacrosse Earns #2 Seed at Atlantic 10 Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team grabbed a spot in the semifinals, earning a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed at the Atlantic 10 Championships next week in Richmond, Va.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team grabbed a spot in the semifinals, earning a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed at the Atlantic 10 Championships next week in Richmond, Va.
 
The six-team tournament is being hosted by Richmond, the Spiders entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed after falling to St. Joe's in a 13-8 defeat on the final day of the season. The Hawks await the winner of Davidson and VCU in the No. 3/No. 6 matchup in the semis, set for Friday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m.
 
On the other side of the bracket, UMass was crowned regular season champions and earned the top seed in the A-10 Tournament. The Minutewomen face the victors of the first-round matchup between No. 4 Richmond and No. 5 St. Bonaventure.
 
The Atlantic 10 Championship is slated for Sunday, May 4 with first draw scheduled for 12 p.m.
