WASHINGTON, D.C. - Taylor Trowbridge of the Saint Joseph's softball team has been named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 20. It is the second time this season she has received the honor. 

Trowbridge tossed two complete game shutouts against George Washington as part of a three-game sweep of the Revolutionaries. In the first game of a doubleheader on Friday, she scattered five hits and struck out a season-high tying seven batters in a 6-0 SJU victory. She was even better on Saturday, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning, surrendering just one hit, striking out three. Overall for the weekend, she went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, letting up just six hits, walking two and striking out 10 against a George Washington team that came into the weekend with the top offense in the A-10. Trowbridge did not allow a runner past second base in the two contests. 

The Hawks return to action on Wednesday with a non-conference matchup against Lehigh. First pitch from the SJU Softball Field is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
