HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's golf team opened the 2025-26 season with a strong showing on the first day of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial before play was suspended due to darkness.

How It Happened
• As a team, the Hawks shot 283 (-5) to take the lead after the first round, but are currently in third place as play was suspended midway through the second round.
• In his Hawk debut, Michael Henry, Jr. posted a score of three-under-par 69 in the first round.
Christian Matt opened play with a two-under-par 70.
• Newcomers Sam Feeney and George Williamson, Jr. each carded opening-round scores of 72.
• Noah Moelter fired a round of 73 (+1) to open Saturday's play.
• Playing as an individual, Tyler Leyden shot 85 (+13).
• Seton Hall sits atop the 14-team field leaderboard at the suspended event.
• The Alex Lagowitz Memorial is being held at the par-72 Seven Oaks Golf Club (7,125 yards).
