SJU President Mark C. Reed, Ed.D., Named to Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities Board of Directors
PHILADELPHIA (July 1, 2017) — University President Mark C. Reed, Ed.D., was appointed to the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) Board of Directors on July 1, 2017. Dr. Reed’s term ends in February, 2020.
The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities serves as the collective voice of Catholic institutions of higher education in the United States. ACCU aims to foster a vibrant Catholic identity at member institutions and supports cooperation among them for the greater good of society and the Church. The ACCU offers seminars, conferences and consultation, and produces publications and research for its 238 member institutions.
“I am proud and honored to serve the ACCU, and, in particular, to represent a Jesuit institution,” says Dr. Reed. “Catholic colleges and universities are prominent in the United States and educate nearly one million students. There is great potential for collaboration and much we can learn from one another.”
Dr. Reed will serve alongside representatives from 18 other Catholic colleges and universities.
