Saint Joseph’s University and the University of Scranton will co-host advancement administrators from 28 Jesuit colleges and universities across the nation for the annual Jesuit Advancement Administrators (JAA) conference, July 9 to 11. JAA operates under the umbrella of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU), which is located in Washington, D.C.

Held in Philadelphia at the Sheraton Society Hill and titled "JAA in PA – Where Revolutionary Things Happen,” the conference is an opportunity for professionals in multiple advancement disciplines to explore what is distinctive about each institution’s shared Jesuit, Catholic mission, and how that mission is best served in the philanthropic landscape.

Conference highlights include keynotes by the Rev. Michael Sheeran, S.J., president of AJCU, and Michael A. Nutter, former mayor of Philadelphia. On Monday, July 10, 12:30 – 2 p.m., the Rev. Timothy Lannon, S.J., former president of Saint Joseph’s University (2003-11), will be honored with the Rev. Barry J. McGannon, S.J., Award, the highest honor JAA can bestow on one of its colleagues. Fr. Lannon is being recognized for his significant long-term commitment to Jesuit higher education and the advancement profession.

An All-Jesuit Alumni Happy Hour will be held at Morgan’s Pier, Tuesday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
